The COOPER Console
While the console unit’s function is immediately apparent – providing a convenient surface and integrated storage – it also plays a vital role in the overall layout and finish of the auditorium.
Consoles are often used to elegantly resolve residual gaps at the ends of seating rows. These small spaces, if left unaddressed, can appear visually untidy and may introduce potential trip hazards. By identifying these gaps at the CAD stage, the overall surplus or shortfall can be distributed across the row by subtly adjusting the width of the console units.
Timber-based components allow for this level of dimensional flexibility with ease and precision. In contrast, altering the dimensions of upholstered seating elements is significantly more complex and can impact both ergonomics and comfort. The console therefore provides a discreet and highly effective solution for achieving a clean, continuous row layout without compromising the seating experience.
For this reason, console sizes can be refined not only to suit individual aesthetic preferences, but also to ensure a seamless fit within each auditorium, delivering a visually balanced, safe and fully resolved installation.
The consoles are available in different wood finishes to suit your requirements.
